GETTING BETTER

Tartu Rock enjoyed a comfortable 92-75 win over ETHA Engomi which keeps them firmly in the hunt to reach the Round of 32 from Group L of the FIBA Europe Cup.

Turning Point: After a close first quarter, an 8-0 burst early in the second saw Tartu go 29-19 up on Brian Harper's three-pointer, and they only continued to pull away, with their biggest lead - 59-40 - coming midway through the third quarter when Evaldas Zabas sank a jump-shot.

Stats Don't Lie: ETHA could not find a way to slow Tartu's scorers as they shot 58% (36-of-62) from the field and an almost perfect 11-of-12 from the line.

Game Hero: Harper did a bit of everything for Tartu with 15 points, 12 rebounds and five assists in the win.

Bottom Line: Tartu move to 3-2 in and draw first blood in the race to follow BC Khimik into the Round of 32. ETHA remain winless after five outings.

They Said: "We needed a win, we've been on the down low a couple of games. We had to win it, there was no other way. And today we played a good game" - Tartu University/Rock player Evaldas Zabas.
